Acoustic Son began at a Thanksgiving gathering in 1999 while singing improvs around the dinner table. They soon began to play at open mics and were asked to be the featured band at the historic Hotel Utah. Acoustic Son has played many venues in the San Francisco area, including: 19 Broadway, Hotel Utah, the Bazaar Café, Cafe du Nord, Pat O'shea's, Pioneer Saloon, Cafe Amsterdam, Ireland's 32, the Cannery, the Curve, Caffe Trieste, Rasellas, and Thee Parkside.
