"We did the songs in different ways. 'One Last Texas Night' and 'Runnin Wild With You' are fully produced and edited. Mike Baker at DSL Studios here in Louisville did a great job on those. 'Houstontown' and 'Faces In The Water' are just me sittin on a stool at the mic done in one take. 'Midnight Dancer' and 'Harmonica Jam' I did at my computer. It's varied, the production I mean, and it gives the cd a live feel to it. And a different feel from song to song. I didn't want a slick, perfect sound."

"It was interesting working in the studio. The finger pickin we used on 'One Last Texas Night' is Craig Wagner a great guitarist here in Louisville. We had already recorded a few guitar tracks for the song in a different style and he was still sittin at the mic foolin around playin stuff and makin us laugh when he started finger pickin that song. At first I didn't recognize it was Texas Night but when I did I knew on the spot it was perfect for the song. Five minutes later we had the track. A beautiful guitar piece that flows like water in a stream. That's the kind of thing that can happen."
