Born in the Mississippi Delta, Jewel Turner grew up on the music of neighbors John Lee Hooker and Albert and B.B. King. Transplanted to Chicago, she was inspired by Billie Holiday and Dinah Washington to begin a performing career that has taken her across Europe from Paris to Berlin.

Jewel is presently performing in venues throughout Manhattan. Her sultry blues and arousing jazz style have made her a standout wherever she goes.

There are many facets to this glimmering stone. Besides being a "musical diva", Jewel has captured roles in Film, TV, Theatre and Fashion. She has been featured in Carlito's Way and has appeared in the soap operas, The Guiding Light and One Life to Live.
