Details:
Southern California native, David Isaacs, has been playing guitar since age 13 and has studied Classical Guitar for 11 years. David has performed throughout Orange County as a soloist, in duet, and as part of the California State University, Fullerton Guitar Orchestra. As a young promoter of the classical guitar, David and esteemed local guitarist, Michael Nigro, founded the Long Beach Classical Guitar Society in November 2004 which they co-operate to present a concert series and member recitals. David's premier performances include being a featured guest performer in the duet Nachklang at the Hermoupolis Guitar Festival on the island of Syros in Greece during the 2001 Cal State Fullerton Guitar Orchestra Greece tour, a featured recitalist for the Spinet (the oldest active music organization in the US) in Redlands, the featured artist in March at the Ventura County Classical Guitar Society, and the featured artist at the Long Beach Classical Guitar Society in April and October.

Currently working on his Masterâs degree in Classical Guitar Performance at Cal State Fullerton under the tutelage of David Grimes, David presented his first Masterâs recital on April 20, 2005 at CSUF. For this recital, David played some of the most rich, challenging, and dramatic works ever written for the classical guitar and his transcription of one of Bachâs Violin masterpieces including: Violin Partita No. 1 BWV 1002 by J.S. Bach, Balletto and Prelude by Manuel Maria Ponce, Cavatina by Alexander Tansman, and La Catedral by Augustin Barrios-Mangore. He has studied with David Grimes, Scott Morris, Richard Turner, and Gunnar Eisel; and has performed for Master classes by Antigone Goni, David Leisner, Ana Vidovic, Margarita Escarpa, Lorenzo Micheli, Stepan Rak, Pavel Steidl, Eric Franceries, Quaternaglia, Nestor Benito, Matt Gould, Gabriel Guillen, Petar Jankovic, The Assad Duo, and The Falla Trio (Terry Graves, Kenton Youngstrom and Dusan Bogdanovic).

Now residing in Long Beach, David recently completed his second Southern California tour, a tour in Hawaii with the CSUF Guitar Orchestra, is working on his first studio recorded CD, is scheduling a tour of the Western US, and is rehearsing for his second Masterâs recital on May 11, 2006, a voice and guitar recital by Chanson du Soir featuring the lovely soprano from Nocturnal March, Chelsea Camille. David teaches privately at Moreyâs Music in Long Beach, Tustin Music Center in Artesia, and at his home studio.
