International Friends started in New York City in 2000 by artistic collaboraters Prince Viper and 835. The began playing the infamous Amerika Multiwerks gatherings as well as creating the sound track for the hit TV program Public Sex Acts. Their live score for the notorious "Roundest Wheel" film made it's way around the scene to various festivals such as the Free Biennial and The New York Magazine film festival. In 2002 they moved to California traveling, playing shows, recording and living in their 35ft house/studio on wheels. In 2003 they released a single "Life Is Lame" recorded live at an RV park in Oxnard California. They soon moved the operation to a 20 acre ranch deep in the Angeles National Forest to finish recording their full length album. The day after the album was finished the ranch was destroyed in a mudslide. Their debut self titled album was released in June 2005. Their music has been featured in the Movies "Bomb The System" and "Waterborne" alongside such acts as Radiohead, MF Doom, Dredg, Madlib and Aesop Rock. International Friends continue to push the envelope of music with their unique song structure, love of bass and prolific use of effects.
