World Blade Center is the latest effort by Eric Chamberlain (Index, Skylash, Nom Silencieux). Although the title was inspired by the significant events at the World Trade Center the music is not overly dark or political. It is sometimes dark, but in a shimmering, beautiful way rather than in a negative way.

World Blade Center marks the return of Index (now Index AI) to the electronica scene after a period of inactivity due to personal reasons and life-altering events.

For those who don't already know, this project has released other CDs on the COP Int'l label, some of that material containing a more industrial slant, and nearly all of it receiving very high critical acclaim.

As with other Index Releases, World Blade Center mixes sometimes harsh or dark elements with beautiful ambiance and atmospheres, often mixing electronic sounds and manipulated textural samples with organic sounds and more traditional instrumentation such as piano and strings.

Sometimes fit for the dance floor, sometimes down tempo or ambient, World Blade Center has been called Chamberlain's gorgeous, cleanest, most accomplished work to date.
