After being featured on numerous podcasts and concert reviews in England and the United States, Johnny Gwynn has released Part One of a two part EP. The A-Side-EP is the first installment and features a mostly rock and alternative sound but each song showcases a different sound from the last. Songs like âAim High, Finish Strongâ and âMidnight Oilâ boast anthemic qualities thanks to catchy choruses while âCanât Break Awayâ and âNight Outâ display obvious British Rock influences yet are taken in two different directions. The closer, âLeavinâ Homeâ, fleshes out the albums sound thanks to country-style guitars and harmonica licks while still maintaining that notable rock sound. Written about his move out west, Gwynnâs EP comes full circle as âLeavinâ Homeâ fades out. Even with the B-Side-EP on the horizon, the A-Side EP is sure to keep you yearning to complete the puzzle.
