The repertoire
Brazilian popular music, tango, and chacarera are performed through songs as Caicó, Libertango, Viola Enluarada (tango version), and added to compositions by Sergio, originally created for this project.

The fusion of classical and popular languages
Marjana and Sergio wish to knock down the wall that often separates the âacademic musicâ to the âpopular musicâ (two worn-out and unfortunate expressions). Their work juxtaposes the two languages in several ways: since the cello and piano ensemble usually performs classical music, here they explore the popular repertoire with all the kaleidoscopic choices of popular music keeping in perspective their classical training. Their performance also intends to demonstrate, with humor and a few jokes, that if the wall exists, it is gradually cracking.

Bridging dreams to the real world
Both Marjana and Sergio have been working in projects that challenge the traditional approach in which the artist has little interaction with the audience, restricted to the re-creation of musical scores. Their quest for a two-way bridge with the public surfaces in performances preceded with often humorous tales. In the case of this album, the tales and the explanations for each track are printed on the cover.
