Magnus was formed in 2009 when Eric Early, Rich Sutcliffe, and Sean Young decided to take their brand of metal to the next level. In 1990 Rich and Sean were members of Unconditioned Response, a straight edge hardcore band out of Bucks County PA. In 1993 Eric was a member of NJ hardcore band Confined. After Unconditioned Response split Rich went on to form Autumn a post-hardcore outfit and released a 7" on Nevermore Records. Eric joined Rich in Autumn in 1995 until they left in 1996. Following Autumn, Rich joined Eric briefly in Confined and they both went on to form the Party Wreckers out of Philadelphia from 1997 until 2007. Sean went on to form Falling Out out of Bucks County PA until 2009, and currently plays with Jokers Wild out of Bucks County. Wanting to do something more in the doom metal genre, Rich and Eric contacted Sean and formed Magnus in 2009. With an EP under their belt and high energy live show, you can see the chemistry between these three guys who have played off and on with each other for 20 years.
