This CD is for the classical music lover who searches for unique recordings. Hrdlík presents a never published triple concerto for flute, viola, double bass, and orchestra.
10 MP3 Songs
CLASSICAL: Traditional, CLASSICAL: Orchestral
Details:
The CD is dedicated to the memory of the Czech Double Bass Virtuoso František Pošta.
Featured on the CD is Bohemian composer J.M.Sperger with a unique Triple Concertante for flute, viola, and double bass which is joyful and relaxing. It is the first recording on CD since the discovery of the manuscript and has not been printed yet.
J.J.Quantz, the court musician and composer to King Friedrich II, composed an invigorating, happy, flute concerto. Also, itâs the first recording on CD since the discovery of the manuscript and has not been printed yet.
D.Dragonnetti is an outstanding figure in double bass literature. He established high standards for double bass playing. As a good friend of L. von Beethoven, he performed the recitative in Beethovenâs 9th Symphony as the solo double-bassist. At that time it was scary for other bass players to play such exposed part. In fact they used to play with gloves not to hurt their fingers.
R.LeBlancâs Duo for flute and double bass in old style is a wonderful display of sound and color of the high and low sounding instruments.
J.HrnÄíÅ, former conductor of the Prague Radio Symphony for a period of 30 years, made with the orchestra hundreds of recordings, many of which were premieres.
Music Director and Sound Engineer is Václav Zamazal who holds prestigious awards such as: USA Recording of the Year (1977 USA), Grammy Price (1994 Czech Republic), Charles Cross Grand Prix Academie (France), Wiener Flötenuhr Price (Austria), Edison Price (Holland).
