Described by The London Times as "The hottest band in London", The Lightyears' piano led melodies have often been compared to the work of Keane and Coldplay. However, their clever arrangements and ear-pleasing harmonies reflect more than a passing acquaintance with Queen and The Beatles. Indeed, Queen's drummer, Roger Taylor has been seen at their gigs, and has described The Lightyears as "bloody brilliant",

This new album, London, England, their second full-length CD, was co-produced by Hugh Padgham, who produced Genesis, The Police, Sting and Paul McCartney.

After winning the Indy Award for Britain's "Best Pop/Rock Act" in 2009, The Lightyears toured the world, including Europe, Asia, South Africa and The United States, where they appeared on Broadway, and broadcast on Public Radio stations WXPN in Philadelphia and WPRB in Princeton. Back in London they performed for 46,000 people in Wembley Stadium, and were invited to provide the music for Queen Elizabeth's Birthday Ball.
