After a six year hiatus the well respected UK Hip Hop crew The Planets return with the Planet Roc EP. Uniting with the legendary Roc Marciano of Flipmode and U.N fame, Roc provides the musical landscape, resulting in seven cuts of pure, raw Hip Hop.

On mic duty the project also features Roc as well as Scorzayzee of Out Da Ville and super producer Gensu Dean. The masses are also introduced to extended Planets family member Ikwon who was Krumbsnatchas old rhyming partner. Each adds his own style to further add fuel to the flame.

The Planets have previously worked with Evidence, Atmosphere, Prince Po, Dug Inf, Junior Reid and Planet Asia to name a few. They have also received favourable reviews across the globe for past material appearing in magazines such as Urb, Hip Hop Connection, Echoes and even had their music spun on the Legendary Sway and Tech Wake Up Show.

During their hiatus Ayman Raze took a break from music while Nomadic Poet pursued a successful solo career. In 2006 he dropped the critically acclaimed "A Travellers Tale" album working with industry legends DJ Spinna, Granddaddy I.U and Killah Priest to name a few.

In 2010 the crew reformed after being brought back by the incredible production skills of Hip Hops best kept secret the grand imperial Gensu Dean. Gensu has worked with Large Pro, ODB, Brand Nubian to name some. Look out for The Planets appearance on Gensu's forthcoming solo LP.

The Planet Roc EP is a precursor to the full length Planets album which is due first quarter 2011. The project will be entirely produced by Gensu Dean and promises to be a monumental affair.
