Boston's savior of traditional funk-rock and soul music is Berklee guitar faculty member Thaddeus Hogarth. A native of England who grew up in the West Indies, Hogarth has been a prominent figure on the Boston music scene for years, first developing a reputation as a powerful singer, songwriter, and guitarist for Heavy Metal Horns in the 1990s.
Since then Hogarth has been leading his own group, writing recording and playing shows in the Northeast US and Canada. This disc is the long awaited live concert release from Thaddeus! Recorded on location at the Bose Corporation Performance Theatre in Framingham, Massachusetts, this CD finally captures the energy of his live performance! The recording was made possible with the Bose Personal Amplification System (tm) a revolutionary system created by Bose to enhance live performance while eliminating many of the traditional problems associated with live recordings. This release contains 6 new original tunes and 4 favorites and highlights not only Hogarth's skills as a world class guitarist/multi-instrumentalist and composer, but his ability to break new musical ground while simultaneously paying homage to the heroes of 1970s soul such as Sly Stone, Stevie Wonder, and Bill Withers.
