With musical influences ranging from Joy Division, Kraftwerk, and Devo, to Claude Debussy and the entire country of Japan, Hotels makes hook heavy, overtly cinematic, sci-fi dance rock. Drenched in what the band refers to as "synth blood", each song is an end credit for the weary traveler or tearful dancer. Time Out New York says: "Hotels fuse elements of new wave, goth, and surf so seamlessly that genre tags will be the last thing on your mind when you hear_their bittersweet, atmospheric pop songs." Their debut album "Thank You For Choosingâ¦" is available online and at shows. The first single " Atlantic" has been included on Jane Magazine's 2005 Reader CD.
