After a seven year hiatus from performing and touring Hal Galper reemerges with his new CD âAgents Of Change.â With bassist Tony Marino and drummer Billy Mintz he has created a radical departure from his previous recordings.

Playing in what is called the âRubatoâ style, they have fashioned an unique approach to interpreting an eclectic mix that includes three Galper originals âWaiting For Chet,â âSonar,â and âLiquid Audio,â as well as unexpected versions of the Tin Pan Alley evergreens âHow Deep Is The Ocean, and âOn Green Dolphin Street. A super-melodic version of Wayne Shorterâs âE.S.P.â opens the album and tucked away in the middle of it all is their rendering of the old Swedish folk tune âDear Old Stockholm.â
