h.a.l.o. (marc brown) was born in s.f. california and was an influental dj in the bay area. having attended high shcool with some of the most elite dj's in the history of the game mix-master mike and p-lo of the invisible scratch piklez (3 time world champs) h.a.l.o was also a driving force in the bay area dj industry! h.a.l.o. was also responsible for putting the dj bug in the ear of the hyphy movement's official dj "dragon style" rick lee and put him on in his group total control. after being exspelled from westmoor and oceana high schools, for fighting, h.a.l.o. finally graduated from el camino in south san francisco. realizing that too many of his friends had died in the streets of the bay, h.a.l.o. at his mothers wishes joined the army. h.a.l.o. served in the military as a aiframe structural repairman and uh-60 blackhawk crewchief. his skill at the jobs he held led him to be selected by the department of the army to be assigned to the 160th s.o.a.g. (special operations aviation group) nicknamed the "nightstalkers" made famous by the motion picture "blackhawk down". during this assignment h.a.l.o. traveled abroad and worked with the military's most elite units to include s.f.o.d.( delta force), u.s. navy special warfare commandos ( s.e.a.l.s), u.s. army special forces ( green berets) and the u.s. army rangers.
in 2002 h.a.l.o. returned to the world of music, at the urge of his childhood friend actor jared santinelli, putting out two albums under the pseudonym s.d.h. that were well received. h.a.l.o. made the decision to change his name late in 2005 to better reflect his personality and attitude! h.a.l.o. is an acronym for a dangerous airborne insertion technique used only by the most elite units. it stands for high altitude, low opening. the name has no affiliation with the bungie game title! due to the lack of concious and reality based hip-hop being released h.a.l.o. felt there was a need for a change! hence the album "the resurrection" the mood is about to change! prepare yourselves!
