Details:
For the past twenty five years, Bruce Hamada has contributed to countless recordings in a supporting role. Many artists have sought him out because of his ability to play a wide spectrum of styles. These performers include Cecilio & Kapono, Don Ho, Ohta San, Peter Moon, Azure McCall and Kealii Reichel to name a few. In 2005 he was honored for this special talent by the Hawaii Music Awards. Bruce was presented with the 2004 Studio Musician of the Year Award.

In Hawaii, whenever a ânameâ jazz artist needs a bassist, the name Bruce Hamada will be at the top of that list. He has stood side by side with musicians like Ronnie Cuber, Bill Cunliffe, Jon Faddis, Stan Getz, Freddie Hubbard, Russell Malone, Frank Morgan, Karrin Allyson, Bill Watrous and Ernie Watts among others.

In 2001, he stepped up into the spotlight and released his first CD as a leader. âHow Deep is the Ocean?â was recorded with his longtime partner, pianist Jim Howard.

âTwo for the Roadâ is his latest album. It features his swinging bass work and vocals. A stellar supporting cast was assembled for this great recording by producer Don Gordon.

On drums, Jeff Hamilton, a master percussionist whose work with Ray Brown, Diana Krall and countless others is legendary. He is the leader of the Jeff Hamilton Trio and co-leads the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra.

Tamir Hendelman, virtuoso pianist and talented arranger. Tamir is currently with the Jeff Hamilton Trio and the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra. A very in demand player in the LA area, sought by many for his musical touch.

Pianist Jim Howard, Hamadaâs longtime associate in Hawaii appears on two tracks. The album was masterfully recorded by seventeen time Grammy award winning engineer, Al Schmitt, at Capitol Studios in Hollywood, California. Congrats to Al who received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the most recent Grammy's
