When Highland born Dave Harnetty, hit the scene in 2003 carrying with him a plethora of world travels adding to the musical diversity already nestled in his musicianâs bag of tricks the world had no idea what treasure was about to be exposed. Inspired by ancient Pict wisdom, spiritual journeys, human experience and emotiveness, art and dreams, along with a never ending fascination with the natural worlds in which he inhabits it is no small wonder that his musical vision emanates the gold in the mine of the human soul.

Dave has shared both studio and stage with such acts as âBallyhoo,â âTelegraph Bush-Troops of Tomorrowâ and âScalags.â He has also toured with âEcho and the Bunnymen,â âDave Sharp,â âThe Alarm Thieves,â âCoinneach,â âHumph Family,â âDave Foster,â âYesâ, âBadger,â âThe Guruâs,â & âAndy Bruce.â



Harnetty attends his instruments like a carbon based animal addresses oxygen and turns it into pure hand tooled art form. His instrumental accomplishments include acoustic, electric and bass, guitars as well as harmonica, keyboards, whistle and percussion, drum sequencing⦠and anything else he gets his bardly appendages on.

A master at hand with a style that could depict the gods on heroine, Harnetty turns his listener into a junky for more.

In 2004 he released on the âNew Breedâ CD such tunes as âGreat Tao âWar, thereâs no Winners,â

Following that CD he was soon to add the âAeolian3â CD to his repertoire in 2005 and by 2006 had completed his compilations for âReturn to Fu.â

As Dave Harnetty tours the years and the planet so does his style grow in kind. âBefore Night Falls,â âPraha 2,â âGreed,â and the eternally enchanting â Shelta Thari,â all reflect the consciousness that Harnetty is trying to invite the listener to join him in.

Almost otherworldly sounds leave his guitar throughout the entirely of the Cd leaving the listener beguiled and intrigued.

His productions are a gypsy wagon full of meditations, mediations, wander lust and spinning shirttails flavoured in his rich Scottish heritage.

His is a message of peace and well being and is gracefully delivered by his richly talented hands, lyric writing skills and soulful production.
