This delightful book of vignettes tells family stories of one family, but if you grew up during the same times, it will dredge up sweet memories. Cutting the Christmas tree, making Valentines, piling in the family car and going to the drive-in are only a few of the glimpses of this writer's family. A few stories included are those of the author as she leaves the traditional workplace later in life and moves aboard a boat to cruise the Intracoastal Waterway. The final portion of the book is a story told by 200 postcards sent to a young woman in the early 1900's. Carolina Comfort is a beautiful story, a whole century and three generations of strong women and the men who lived it.
