Heem is making a hell of a First Impression with his debut album, from independent 90 Proof Records based in Detroit. ROLLING OUT MAGAZINE says "Heem successfully showcases a speed of hip-hop that is refreshing and intriguing."
17 MP3 Songs
HIP HOP/RAP: Rap, HIP HOP/RAP: Hardcore Rap
Details:
Dis ya boy, this actually the start of my career, outside of local freestyle battles and basement collaborations. I have been writing raps in full since the early 90's. I feel my style really has it's place in today's music industry. My first project was "Last Call fa Alcohol" a Northern Exposure compilation. Although it was under the radar it prepared me for the road ahead as a striving artist. I believe my opportunity to achieve accreditation in the music business is now.
ROLLING OUT MAGAZINE: APRIL 7, 2005
"The Midwest hip-hop scene will never be the same after a quick listen to Heem. Hailing from Detroit's notorious west side, Heem and his cohorts-Chaos(Dhayman Killian), Vicious and V.S.O.P.-address the nonbelievers with First Impression. With a sound not typically associated with Detroit sounds of D12 and Slum Village, Heem successfully showcases a speed of hip-hop that is refreshing and intriguing. "Roll One Up" and "Let's Get Blitz" are both visited themes that need no introduction-and make First Impression a sure shot.-f.bangal"
