Details:
Born and raised in North Philadelphia, he started playing music at a very early age. Hugh began taking piano lessons and French horn lessons at Reynolds Elementary School. Later as a young teenager he began taking percussion at the Henry E. Glass Music Store in Center City Philadelphia. Later, he studied guitar and piano for 2 more years at Walbrook Sr. High in Baltimore, Maryland where he graduated.

As a young adult, Hugh helped to form the group Generation Of Poets, otherwise known as G.O.P. Later, he relocated to California where he began to further his production skills with local talent.

One of Hugh's greatest influences is Parliament/Funkadelic along with many other soulful performers. As his producing skills grew, he started to appreciate the works of some accomplished producers, such as Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Kanye West. Pharrell, Timberland and of course, Dr. Dre.

Hugh "Q-Ball" Bell now resides in Hawthorne, California where he is seeking the aide of an established record company to further his career.
