Kane has to convince his best friend Nadine of two things. First, it's time for her to stop mourning her deceased fiancé. Second - and most importantly - Kane has fallen in love with her. Nadine knows if she can move past Justin's death, the tentative feelings she's denying Kane will blossom. Only she can't seem to move on. Desperate, she turns to a psychic for help so she can say the final goodbyes she'd been denied years before. For one night, Kane, Nadine and Justin will face the grief threatening to break down a friendship and turn to a love that will make them whole again. Special Content Alert: M/F/M Menage Excerpt: Although the woman did an admirable job of trying to hide her emotions, her rapture was obvious. Her face pressed against the man's neck, a blush radiated over her neck and cheeks. Her chest heaved almost imperceptibly each time he pushed inside of her. Only someone who observed both above and beneath the table would be able to recognize the rhythm of her breathing. When Nadine glanced at the man, his eyes glittered as his gaze locked onto hers. His lips curved into a seductive smile. In an obvious display for her, his fingers picked up speed. "Oh hell," she murmured. "Let me get that, sweetie." The server who dropped into a crouch next to Nadine startled her so badly, she pulled away from the spoon as if the metal singed her. The older woman snatched it up, while Nadine straightened in her chair. Her face burned brightly. Nice one. Very smooth. Thank God the woman, whose badge announced her name as 'Pam', hadn't seen the cause of her distraction. Kane didn't allow Pam two steps away from the table before his laughter rang out. "I don't know if that color in your cheeks is from what you saw or from almost getting busted." "Shut up." That, of course, made him laugh even harder. Even as a smile formed, she glared. Sometimes she truly despised him. "Just tell me whats happening. Did they stop?" His mirth died away as an eyebrow quirked. "Oh, so you're curious about that now?" Nadine pursed her lips by way of an answer. "No, they didn't stop. She's clutching the tablecloth." His attention shifted so that he looked into her eyes. "I think that color is from what you saw. Or maybe from imagining someone doing that to you right here and now. What do you think?" She heard the huskiness in his voice, the implied suggestion behind his words. Her mind raced for a light-hearted response. This wasn't the first time they broached the subject of sex during a casual conversation. Definitely not the first time their words became suggestive. Since Justin, she often tried to keep those discussions with Kane friendly, without offering any provocation when they talked about intimate subjects. Only lately, whenever they discussed such things, she couldn't help but feel he wanted more from her. But she wasn't ready for this. Not with him. "I think I want to know if he finishes her off," she said, picking up a light laugh. Maybe he wouldn't notice the false bravado behind it. When would he accept she couldn't face the prospect of changing their relationship to one belonging to lovers? She needed just his friendship now. Especially now. Maybe she wore her emotions on her sleeve too, because his eyes narrowed. Kane reached across the table to clasp her hand. "It's been three years, baby. He's gone." Nadine shut her eyes against the twinge piercing her heart. Three years or three hundred years, it still hurt like he died yesterday. Though the lump in her throat made it difficult to speak, she managed to force her way through it. "So, have they finished yet, or what?"
