"We were careful making this CD," says singer-songwriter Jason Medeiros of Hiker. He and his partner on this project, Rick Mancini, have two totally different approaches to music. Jason's live rock-n-roll ways and Rick's acoustic songwriting foundation blended perfectly on this compilation--Northern Drawl.
In a word, "simple" is how Jason labels their style of music. "...Rock-folk in the broadest of terms," he adds. Their writing is inspiring, and the playing is solid. "We approached it in a simple way," explains Jason. "Almost all-live tracks...with virtually no over-dubbing."
Northern Drawl was skillfully produced and recorded by long-time associate of the duo, John Mailloux, at his studio, Bongo Beach Productions in Fall River, MA (where Jason and Rick were born & raised).
