Itâs amazing to hear all the gifted musicians that have played on this CD. We all got talent and with these gifts we can bless others. I feel just as fortunate to have this ability to play music and I do not take it for granted. I like to say that this CD is smooth and meditative. Itâs mellow with a driving beat but will also cause your soul to
search.
Oscar Peterson, Joe Sample, Sanborn and Luther, were some of my influences as well as Ohio Players, Commodores, and Cameo, back in the day.
Iâm grateful to have so many fine musicians playing with me including Todd Robinson, guitarist for Luis Miguel. Drummer Gary Ferguson, credit too many to list, Lisa Haley whose song, âI will always be your guideâ, Iâve re-done jazz-fusion style. Her albums can be found on CD Baby as well. Here are only a few of the other great musicians that have join me in this project: Terry Williams, Mike Maffe, and Tui Letui.
This CD is a compilation of original music as well as songs written by Alan Kisaka and Lisa Haley. It is played through my interpretation, the way I hear it, with all the soul, jazz, and funk I grew up listening to. I hope you'll enjoy a different take on some familiar and unfamiliar songs.
