Details:
Straight from Hoboken, here's a ferocious rock band - radio-ready, muscular, and tuneful - sporting well-written songs and a tight, winning sound. Hey Tiger has already made believers out of rock fans in their home state, and its a safe bet their renown is about to spread exponentially.

That's because September, their debut full-length, feels like a record made by a band at the top of the charts. Hey Tiger has managed to capture a million-dollar sound on a shoestring budget, and you'll be astonished by the power of the production and the performances preserved here. Recorded by producer/bandmember Wayne Dorell (guitar, organ, electric piano) at the Pigeon Club in Hoboken, September is a varied, ten-song set of emotionally-charged, flawlessly-executed rock songs.

Christina Alessi simply owns everything she sings: spitting fire and singing seductively, expressing passion, longing, regret, and excitement with a consistent skill and confidence. She's got a way with a ballad, for sure - but its on the uptempo rockers that she really shines. The vibrant rhythm section of Jim Lovegrove (bass) and Joshua Bicknell (drums) coupled with the tasteful guitars of Damien Musto and Dorell provide the perfect platform for Alessi's voice. She drives the songs, communicating clearly, telling her stories of heartbreak and romantic fulfillment with the assurance of a young Nancy Wilson.

Radio-ready songs "I Don't Mind" and "Fate" will fit into any contemporary rock radio playlist. But this is a multifaceted band, and when they stretch out or slow down - as they do on the lovely "Simply" or the scalding "Elizabeth" - their arrangement talent becomes evident.

Within the first two months of the record's release, Hey Tiger has already had success. They were chosen as a top 5 finalist for NYC's Hot AC station 95.5 WPLJ's contest to open for Bon Jovi, and recently had a live performance recorded for use in an upcoming film. The band will be supporting September with New York area shows in early 2006. Be sure to check their website www.heytigerband.com regularly to keep up with the latest from this terrific emerging act.
