15 years after being born on January 14, 1983, in Montgomery, AL, Jonathan Rhodes aquired the name 'Hennasee' while drinking a little too much of the well-known cognac at a hometown club. He formed a love for music at an early age that was influenced by artists such as Tupac, Bone, Kilo, Run D.M.C., Scar Face, DMX, 2 Live Crew, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Haystack, and many more. He made his name known by freestyling to sounds and rhythms produced by beating on desks and notebooks during school time. Hennasee's popularity grew, not only in school, but in local parking lot hang-outs and clubs. People loved tuning into lyrics that were coming from an ol' whiteboy from the small town of Wetumpka, Alabama. Friends would constantly pressure him to rap something for them everytime he popped up.

Motivated by positive feedback from the people around him, Hennasee, also know as 'Big Henn,' saved up money to purchase a small drum machine. He began writing lyrics once he learned how to produce his own beats then moved to the next level of recording songs. Henn loved to show off his tapes to people everywhere.

Henn never lost his love of music as the years passed by. Today, at the age of 22, he promotes another genre of rap he labels as Henn-Hop, which cooks up the down-south ingredients of feel good beats and lyrics. Hennasee pours us another cup-full upon the completion of his new album. Mixing a pot of raw beats, live instruments, and inspiration from every category of music from blues to country, the new album will only intensify the wait for the next one.
