To fully describe the potential and capability of Heinz Malcher K., one has
to trace back his musical history. He studied composition & classical
guitar. During that period he composed music for string quartet , chamber
orquestra, duets and trios, and produced concerts and records where his
works were played by top musicians. After finishing his studies in 1998 he
composed music for television, guitar orquestra, classical guitar and
started experimienting with midi and electronic devices in combination with
acoustic and electro-acoustic guitars, in search of an independent solo
career in, what we can call, "proggresive-electro-acoustic -rock".

"Vacaciones por el perímetro" (Holidays on the perimeter) is the result of
this journey. His debut album as a soloist, which feautures his great
friend: Freaky Freak on keyboards. The music goes from progresive rock
to atmospheric soundscapes spiced with a jazzy feel. It's aggressive
and proposing, smooth and trippy; you can sense his "academic"
background and his rock influences which go from King Crimson and
Frank Zappa to Igor Stravinsky and Witold Lutoslawski.

The album is, in his own words:

"Just like a pencil tracing the limits of contour, like the skin wrapping our
body in a sensual embrace; just like our reason fools us, making us
believe we can hold and conquer chaos... thus float the melodies,
sometimes like caresses, sometimes like a sigh over the mob, or a
desperate cry for attention."

"The guitar pretends to hold in its strings the synthetic universe of the
sequences; giving birth, animating the pieces that compose the whole
musical environment of the album... and in its perimeter we'll take a ride."
