Who/What is Headmess?

Tired of the same ol', same ol'? The Headmess Project's purpose is simple: to privilege the lyric in popular music and help it realize its full potential. Are there literary ideas that might have possibility in popular culture if recast? Does Proust's notion of the Madeleine, for example, really have any possible analog that might resonate in a hip hop format? The idea is horrifying to purists from both disciplines, but the product is delicious for the rest of us.
