Eagle Park Slim has been party to the blues for over 50 years. Originating from the one and only Eagle Park, Illinois, he started his first band 45 years ago and has played continuously since. Slim has played with names like: MUDDY WATERS, LITTLE WILLIE JOHN, SONNY BOY WILLIAMSON, JIMMY REED, CHUCK BERRY, PERCY MAYFIELD, SOUND GARDEN, TINA TURNER, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS and JOE COCKER.

Eagle Park Slim has been a musical institution in Eugene, OR since 1980, known as the keeper of âPeace Through Music,â Slim was a regular on the old Eugene Mall and on 13th Avenue, playing solo acoustic guitar and harmonica and singing in his rich baritone voice. He performs regularly at the Saturday Market and many local taverns and clubs with his own blues band.

Slim Often appears in other cities throughout the west, including Denver, Colorado and Seattle, Washington. Heâs a favorite at the Boulder Creek Festival in Boulder, Colorado, the Bumbershoot in Seattle, Washington, and the Waterfront Blues Festival in Portland, Oregon.

Slimâs unique sound has developed a loyal following wherever he performs. âDonât tell your friends about me,â says Slim, âjust bring them out with you and listen.â This is the secret of Slimâs success; people love to listen.

Performing his own song as well as hundreds of blues favorites, Slimâs music reflects his blues roots. Over forty years of writing, traveling and performing, Slim has built quiet a noteworthy reputation with his own unique musical identity. His music defies traditional categories, and never fails to please his listeners. Songs like âAinât No Time to Hateâ and âYouâre My Jamaicaâ are original crowd pleasers.

Slim has found that he has a large audience â little babies, toddlers, and young people of all ages enjoy his music for all occasions. His songs reach out to everybody, young and old. Every listener has an Eagle Park Slim song they can call his or her own favorite.
