Description:

(ID 1110492)
Scottish singer with a rich voice singing everything from traditional ballads to contemporary Scots songs.

13 MP3 Songs
FOLK: Traditional Folk, WORLD: Celtic

Details:
The latest release from Texas-based Scottish singer Ed Miller - this is another collaboration between Miller and Brian McNeill, one of the giants of Scottish folk music on all levels. 4 of the songs are by McNeill, and he adds his wonderful instrumental skills and arrangements to Miller's gorgeous voice. There are also 4 traditional songs in the mix, along with more recent ones by the likes of Andy Irvine, Jack Foley, Davy Steele and John Watt. Other fine musicians adding to this powerful recipe include guitar maestro Rich Brotherton (lead guitar with the Robert Earl Keen Band) and Scots fiddler John Taylor.

Miller has made some cracking recordings in the past; but this is the best yet. Originally from Edinburgh, Miller has lived the 2nd half of his life based in Austin TX, and travels throughout N.America singing at clubs, concerts, Burns Suppers, Highgland Games etc, and teaching at various folk camps (he has a PhD in Folklore and a sly sense of humor.
