Esta, la quinta placa de EL LEON desde su creacion en 1996, es lejos su trabajo mas variado y creativo. Aqui se escucha muchas de las cosas que hicieron a esta banda muy popular en vivo. Rock n roll, ska, swing, reggae, y sobre todas las cosas muy pegajosas y original. En este disco se pueden escuchar influencias de muchisimos grupos, desde los Enanitos verdes, Fabulosos Cadillacs, a Bandas mas recientes como Los piojos y la Bersuit Vergarabat. Pero si hay algo que hace a este disco especial es que marca a El Leon como una banda Original en su propio estilo.
El disco abre con â Sociable Sociedadâ un rockswing que muestra a la banda hablando de la situacion del Rock Latino en Estados Unidos y La frustracion de escribir temas sin diffusion, Leo gritaâ Escupia canciones sin importarme quien las hiba a escucharâ y â ahora que, que nos va a sanar, Que drogas curan la mediocridadâ
Le siguen canciones bien definidas por el estilo El Leon com â Me canse de Remarâ , âNo me Importa Una Mierdaâ otro tema de protesta que muestra lo que siente el leon y sus fanaticos acerca de el poco apoyo que las bandas locales reciben âdigame usted amable señor, como cambiar o cortar mi cabeza, si todo tiene un precio y ese precio LO PONE USTEDâ.
La Baladas del disco se encuentran en â Hace Tanto tiempoâ y âCarta de un hijo Imigranteâ. La primera una dedicacion a los años perdidos lejos de casa y tema que cualquier persona que se aleja de su familia y amigos se puede relacionar. Leo entona âHace Tanto, Tanto tiempo, hace años que no vuelvo a mi casaâ Y carta de un hijo, Puede hacer llorar a cualquier muerto. Abre con âMadre Mia, mal herido le escribo, Masticando Tristeza y dolor , Pero no arrepentidoâ.
Otros temas para destacar son âPedazo de tu serâ, âTipo Idealâ, â5to Corazonâ, y el cover muy bien hecho de los Fabulosos Cadillacs â Yo no me sentaria en tu Mesaâ

This, the 5th CD from EL LEON since their creation en 1996, is by far their best and most creative to date. Rock n roll, ska , swing, reggae, and very original material. You will find influences from very different bands but yet that unique EL LEON sound, from Enanitos verdes, Fabulosos Cadillacs, and more recent bands like Los Piojos and Bersuit Vergarabat. But if there is anything special about this CD is the quality of the production without losing that indie feel that EL LEON represents so well.
The First track â Sociable Sociedadâ is a rock swing where the band talks about the situation of Rock Latino in USA and their frustration of the little diffusion towards local bands , Leo screams â spit out songs withouth caring who is going to listen to themâ and â now what or who is gonna cure, what drugs cure mediocrityâ
Followed by songs well defined by the style El Leon like â Me canse de Remarâ , âNo me Importa Una Mierdaâ another protest song showing what EL Leon and Leoncitos ( their fans ) feel about the lack of support towards local bands âYou tell me, how to change or cut off my head , Everything has a price and that price is imposed by youâ.

The first a dedication to friends and family abut the years lost away from home in which anybody that has left their home can relate. Leo sings âItâs been so long, so long, years since Iâve been homeâ and carta de un hijo imigrante, can make a dead man cry. Starts out âMother of mine, hurting I write, chewing sadness , but not regretfulâ.
