Details:
Sudden Epidemic got its start in a middle school talent show with two of its current band members, a 15-watt practice amp, a really bad sound system, and a gym full of screaming girls. It's all been uphill from there. Now in their fifth year of musical collaboration, Jordan Daniel and Tyler Goodman have never stopped to look back, continuously writing new material, developing their musical skills (girls like guys with skills), and honing their professionalism on stage in a successful string of high energy local performances.

The group expanded to include drummer Kyle Pilon in 2002 with bassist Alex Marble joining Daniel, Goodman, and Pilon the following year. Although members have pursued a variety of independent musical interests outside Sudden Epidemic, the band coalesced early on behind a common passion for the creative process and the firm belief that their music was meant to be heard: loud, proud, and in your face. This is the energy that drives Sudden Epidemic today.

The Broadview Life is the band's first full-length album, recorded at Santa Fe Soundworks in December 2004. The effort encompasses everything from Daniel and Goodman's earliest compositions, Marigolds and fan favorite Another Day at the Carnival to the hard-hitting Glued to the Screen, Don't Be a Stranger, and the title track, The Broadview Life. With musical influences including The Juliana Theory, Taking Back Sunday, The Starting Line, Box Car Racer, and Green Day, The Broadview Life represents an eclectic rock mix in a unique style that doesn't necessarily fit the commonly accepted pop punk label. Sudden Epidemic delivers something more. The amps keep getting bigger. The instruments are keeping pace with the young musicians' increasing virtuosity. And the girls just keep screaming.
