Details:
Not just a number but a powerful rock force to be reckoned with. When Eight popped on the scene is early 2003 with their three song EP they quickly began to spark peoples interest. All the honest, soulful aspects of music that were lost for so long seemed to be somewhere within. The band played shows on and off for the remainder of the year and landed a spot at the 2003 Nemo Conference in Boston. Shortly thereafter they teamed up with rapper Young Zee (eight mile, D12) and collaborated on the hooky rock/ hip hop â"Faultlines."â They rearranged the tune and gave the piece a whole new feel. The band became known for their compelling live performances and seem to push it further every time.
During the downtime in late 2004 Eight buried themselves away and began writing what would come to be their first full length release, Faultlines. Frontman Joe Creamer, âEverywhere you go people talk about the horrific state of the industry. We tried to write a record that was diverse and could reach people of all ages, culture, background, and intellect. I have yet to hear a record as diverse and as accessible as ours.â

Faultlines was produced by Jason Alberts and Joe Creamer. They spent the majority of the winter in ELG studios, Long Island, and the world famous Carriage House Studios in Stamford, CT. It was here they developed a sound that is and is not entirely their own. Their extremely diverse sound has been compared to the likes of The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Guns N Roses, Outkast, The Black Crowes, and Matchbox Twenty with heavy 80âs influences. Some say throwback, others argue revolutionary. With their sharp image and tremendous hooks this is a force to be reckoned with and shall make their mark.
