Angela J. Lee, gu-zheng control was born in China, and is a bicultural and trilingual Taiwanese-American. She was tutored by Master gu-zheng artists Liang Zei Ping, Wei De-Liang and Li Ying.
"Heart's Strings" contains 10 selections of traditional Taiwanese music in her own arrangements for solo gu-zheng.
The 1996 Olympic Committee selected Angela Jui Lee to perform during the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. She was warmly received as she introduced the ancient art of the gu-zheng and Taiwanese music to a vast Anglo-prominent society.
Her deeply emotional performance on the ancient Taiwanese instrument transports the listener beyond the confines of the setting into a mystical, meditative place of mind, soul and spirit.
