Details:
It has become more than just popular opinion that a great majority of todayâs music lacks a certain attitude and spirit heard and seen in musical generations of the past...A certain passion. However, growing among these circumstances is hidden music of great fervence. This music is not an easily kept secret and has exploded onto the scene spreading like wildfire. This music is Chesterfield.
To watch Chesterfield perform live is to witness an ear-popping, eye-opening experience. But in order to fully perceive Chesterfieldâs vehement music, one must take a look into the bands past.
It was the year 1993 in the sleepy northeastern Wyoming town, called Newcastle, when three teenagers Shane, T.J., and Jason, fatefully came together. The group of best friends struggled to find something to call themselves until the name Chesterfield one day fell upon them. Fate took a tragic turn on an August afternoon in 1999 when a family reunion turned nightmare claimed the life of 22-year-old Jason McDill. Jasonâs death was devastating yet it lit flames of musical inspiration and the remaining Shane and T.J. carried on in light of Jasonâs short time on Earth. Jesse, a friend of the band since 1996, was asked to recomplete the group and continue the legacy of a friend. Now, with their music growing more intense by the day, Chesterfield has set sights on developing a strong fan base in their new home state, Oregon. The band has released two full-length albums and has toured in states such as California, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, Wyoming, South Dakota, and Montana.
