Details:
In March of 2005, Curse of the Fallen began to take shape. Joe Filyaw, Chuck Gregg, and Mark Jones started working on material for our first EP. In late January of 2006, Joe tries to coax Shane Danzey out of retirement. Finally, in February 2006, Shane joins the band. After many month's of putting fliers out for a vocalist, Ray Small answered our add and joined the band in March of 2006. After only a few months of having the band line up complete and playing a private party, Curse of the Fallen made their public debut at the High Note Lounge/Rock-n-Horse on
July 13, 2006.
Even though cover songs are at the band's disposal, original music is their primary area of focus. The goal of Curse of the Fallen is to have a style of music that is completely their own. If one had to choose a comparison of their music, it would probably be best described, overall, as a cross between Godsmack,The Cult, and AC/DC with a few other influences thrown into the mix. Their music ranges from songs that are melodic to songs that have an "in your face", "metal up your ass", high octane attitude. Several new originals are currently in the mix to be worked on. Some already completely wrote. They have just completed their first CD entitled "Revenge".
