Hey folks, thanks for the ear! My music has changed through the years, all for the good! As a kid I was raised good ole country; Merle and Johnny, you know, dads album stack. Daddy had always played the guitar and at 8 years old wanting to learn really bad, he showed me a few chords and the rest is history as for as my favorite instrument. I made it a point to learn and play every lick Jim Croce ever plucked. The bass came natural and the piano just allowed me to venture off into different compositions and style. Personaly, I know it was bands like America, Bread, and and needless to say McCartney and his buds.
Yep, I do anticipate a band but until I find a few guys with the same love for the soft rock/lovesongs, Im pretty much glued to this 24 track Mackie doing the instruments and vocals, writing "silly love songs" for my sweet and beautiful Constance and my devoted four legged fan zenith my Great Dane. I truly hope these few tunes will be a breath of fresh air, maybe taking you back to the crazy and memorable "old days". I know by being one, we writers get asked now and then where the lyrics come from. All I could ever tell them was, as you live the songs the words pretty much fall off the pen. Grab a cocktail and your sweetheart and enjoy. And most certainly have a splendid Christmas and a prosperous New year.
