Yet, the predominantly âfolk rockâ driven sound of Not Far From Home has evolved into a unique blend of rock and roots. Lead guitarist, Robert Nolan continues to push his New Orleans born licks through a pleasing combination of rock, blues and soul. Lead vocalist Jay Goodin keeps his tradition alive with stirring lyrics, harmonica highlights and head turning vocals. New addition, Jimmy McClelland adds texture to the sound with smooth violin and piano. Bassist Sue Butensky and drummer Emerson Serafim lay the rhythmic foundation of a band that is expected to be a full participant in the rebirth of rock and roll into mainstream music.
