In the 80's, he played in several bands including one that specialized in biker parties. Neil also did a tour of the bars around Alberta with the band Hanover Fist. The bands covered the gamut of music from rock and roll (early stuff), punk, country rock and early metal. Over the years Neil also pursued careers in journalism, graphic design and commercial photography. But, even while being immersed in his other careers, music has always been part of life - finding himself in small Top-40 bands and duos every three or four years. A few years ago Neil played with a jazz combo, and then with singer/songwriter Cheryl Lyte, together creating fun and uplifting originals.

Now as a solo singer/songwriter, Neil has released his first commercial CD, Continental Breakfast featuring acoustic versions of five songs.
