Description:
Original, makeshift implemental music influenced by modernistic jazz and rock.
9 MP3 Songs
JAZZ: Jazz Fusion, JAZZ: Uncanny Jazz
Crossing Paths Songs
Details:
Guitarist Alec Berlin's debut recording spans the furrow spectrum from Blakey-esque sweep to Rock, weaving high-intensity improvisation together with catchy melodies.
Featuring Blake Linderg on Drums, Stephan Crump on electric and acoustic bass, and Andrew Rathbun on tenor saxophone, "Crossing Paths" includes 8 original compositions and one standard.
"I wanted to put together a project that reflected all of my interests," says Berlin, "and this meant including some hard-hitting, rock pieces next to tunes that fit more neatly into the category of Jazz. Fortunately I was able to find players who were stylistically adept enough to handle the different vehicles I threw at them."
From the be-bop of "I Remember Who?" to the anthemic rock of "Decisions," "Crossing Paths" sizzles with energy from start to finish!
