Something Else Is

Brian Cardinale: Brian brings vast musical experience to this project that includes the bands "Elof Nogg", "Uncle Funk", "Vertigo Mind" and "Atlantic Phantom". Brian is responsible for writing and arranging all drum lines on this recording. The intricacies and dynamics of his playing put a touch on the music that simply emotes "Style". Brian is also an accomplished acoustic guitarist.

Mike Firicano: Mike is the bands primary guitarist and vocalist. His considerable guitar ability is only matched by his mind numbing vocal range. Mike is also the source for most of the original music. Mike is responsible for writing the lyrics and music for tracks 1, 2, 4, 7 and 8. Mike also co-wrote the lyrics and music to track 5 with his life long friend Joe Ipolito. Mike's musical experience spans twenty years and includes the bands "Self Image", "Atlantic Phantom" and "Vertigo Mind".

Paul "Rosey" Ranzo: Paul though primarily a guitar player has graciously converted to the bass for this project. Paul is not only responsible for writing and arranging all the bass lines, but also contributes some searing guitar leads to tracks 3, 5, and 6. On track 9 Paul can be heard playing both bass and electric guitars. Drawing upon his enormous working knowledge of the guitar, then utilizing his skill for the bass gives the band a sound that is "Something Else". Paul's tremendous musical experience includes the bands "Bash", "Bastille", "S.G. Rose", "Red Line", and "Vertigo Mind".

Al Ricko: Al though having the least experience regarding live performance has thirty plus years experience with the keyboards. Al is responsible for writing the lyrics and music for tracks 3, 6 and 9. This project marks Al's debut as a vocalist and his raspy style just ads to the already diverse musicality of the band. Al, an avid photographer, is not only responsible for the band photos, but also the album cover design. Al's musical experience includes the band "Atlantic Phantom".

Steve Morse of the Boston Globe wrote "Singer Mike Firicano exhibited star quality".
