Because Gary Brown lost all of his possessions in Hurricane Katrina, he has temporarily begun performing in cities other than New Orleans. He is currently playing in Monroe, Louisiana, anxiously awaiting the time when he can rebuild his home and can, once again, play for his fans on Bourbon St.

Internationally known R&B/Jazz musician, Gary Brown & his breathtaking ensemble Feelings have traveled the world entertaining thousands with his amazing musical appeal and stage presence. Gary studied under Dr. Edwin âKiddâ Jordan for 8 years at Bethune High School, then he went on to Southern University of New Orleans and attended Xavier University Conservatory of Music and studied under Dr. Richard Harris. He has become a phenomenal voice in the jazz and blues world touring countries such as Brazil, Italy & Austria etc., He was featured weekly at one of the most exceptional R&B/Jazz Clubs in the world, the legendary 554 Club located on the historical Bourbon Street in the heart of The French Quarter for decades.

Garyâs musical styles include Jazz, R&B Soul, Funk, Gospel, & Reggae. His repertoire includes a long listing of collaborations with some the worldâs biggest musicians, recorded and toured with Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Joe Cocker, the Bee Gees, Dr. John, Irma Thomas, Wilson Pickett, and many more. In addition, he recorded the instrumental sound track for the one of the best motion pictures in history "Grease", starring John Travolta.
Gary Brown has released several solo projects including âWelcome to New Orleansâ Gabbro Records, âMy Heavenâ Gabbro Records, âThe Keyâ Gabbro Records, âBlues on Bourbonâ (Live 544 Club) Gabbro Records, âGary Brown & Feelings: Doinâ It Liveâ Gabbro Records,â Ms. Magicâ Gabbro Records and his latest effort âMore Loveâ 2004 Gabbro Records. Gary Brown will definitely be one to watch in 2004 and beyond! He is truly the best-kept secret this side of the Mississippi!

Gary's latest CD, "Comin' Home", a tribute to Hurricane Katrina victims, is his best yet.
