N.O.E. Records is proud to present its new single, âWatchin meâ off the new compilation album Mista Bone Presents: Underground Hitz vol. 2. This album is lead by CEO/Founder Mista Bone aka Raani Mathews with guest appearances from Lil Elt ( 5Foota), Instead, Trouble, Hotboy Ronald and 5th Ward Weebie.
Mista Bone aka Raani Mathews was born June 18 1977 in Lawrence, KS. At 6 months he moved to New Orleans, LA where he lived until he was fourteen. At fourteen he moved to Houston, TX for one year and then on to Wichita, KS where he has lived ever since.
In 2001 Mista Bone started the record label N.O.E. Records (a division of N.O.E. Productions, LLC). That same year he released the single âAll My Lifeâ with features from label mates Lil Elt (who made the hit single âGet the Gatâ in 1992) and Y.G. (a new comer to the rap industry also a New Orleans native). The single âAll My Lifeâ got radio play on over 300 commercial and non-commercial radio stations, debuting #24 on the College Music Journal Hip-Hop singles charts (2002). The album N.O.E. Records presents: THA N.O.E. Family was released July 9, 2002. Later that year the N.O.E. Family went to doing shows across the country, opening for the likes of Grammy award winning artist Coolio, Shaggy, and Raavon. But when Southwest Wholesale (Independent Distributor) went bankrupt that put everything on hold causing the buzz to die.
2003 in an attempt to revitalize the label. Mista Bone stepped back into the executive producer role and produce underground legend and N.O.E. artist Lil Elt (5Foota). The album was titled Underground Hitz, but with out the distribution and promotion network like the pervious album. The buzz never got going and the project was eventually scrapped.
Early 2006 Mista Bone went back into the studio, this time collaborating with Latin hip-hop artist Instead (San Diego, CA native) and began working on a new project. Also with help from Lil Elt, Hotboy Ronald and 5th ward Weebie. With in a few months he was able to bang out N.O.E.âs latest release titled âMista Bone Presents: Underground Hitz vol. 2. The album was released August 1, 2006. The first single âWatchin Meâ immediately caught fire on the streets of Wichita. Mista Bone and Instead have been doing shows across various parts of the Midwest opening for the likes of Juvenile (Atlantic Records) and Pimp C (Jive Records).
