The Reggae Bubblers is a Conscious Roots Reggae band out of St. Croix, Virgin Islands. The band has been in existence since 2001. The Bubblers have produced 8 CDs â 2 Calypso and 6 Reggae â and a ninth is to be released in mid-2006.
The first CD â âDe Bubble Burstâ â released in 2003 was a single with 2 Reggae songs (Jah Love and Freedom).
The second and third CDs â âBubblers Wild Sideâ and âBubbliciousâ - showed off The Bubblers Soca and Calypso side.
The fourth CD titled âGive a Little Loveâ featuring Cheech and Hayba, is a 13 song Reggae CD released in 2004.
The fifth CD, âHills and Valleysâ, has 14 Reggae songs and was released in 2005.
The sixth and seventh CDs titled âBlack Star Liner Vol. Iâ and âBlack Star Liner Vol. IIâ are compilation Reggae CDs. These CDs feature some of the Conscious Roots Artists from St. Croix and the Virgin Islands, such as Ikahba, Xkaliba, Aaron Bull, Jordan, Meko Diamond, Heavenly Petersen, Jr. P., Massiah, Imo, Shadow, Sekhu, Revolution, Volcano, and 2 members of The Reggae Bubblers, Cheech and Hayba. All artists are backed up by the rhythms of The Reggae Bubblers.
The eighth CD is "Live on Assignment". This is a live version of many of The Reggae Bubblers hits. This was released early 2006.
And soon to be released in mid-2006 is the "Black Star Liner Vol. 3". Another compilation CD featuring various Virgin Island Artists.
