My friend Randall offered me his recording expertise and equipment to make a record. After some time and encouragement I finally decided to take him up on his offer. I do not remeber much about the session except that I was treated to some N' Oleans cookin' (not un-common in Randall's kitchen) and copius amounts of tequila. I ran through about 15 songs in about as much time as it takes to sing 15 songs and Tequila Gumbo was born. Not all of that session is on this disc, but I've carefully selected what I think are the best tracks.
I thank Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Hank Williams Sr., Willie Nelson, John Prine and Kris Kristofferson for providing most of the material. I hope you enjoy Tequila Gumbo.
The stage name Some Guy On a Bike is what it is because that's pretty much who I am. Currently I am touring the U.S.A. on a bicycle carrying a guitar in a water proof bag strapped to the top of a small trailer that's pulled behind. Proceeds from Tequila Gumbo will go towards another recording, or perhaps a new tube for my bike. Check out my website http://www.someguyonabike.com -
