With a wide range of influences from classic rock to postmodern electronica, they play a unique brand of music that reaches from the past while making a grab for the future.
12 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Modern Rock, POP: Power Pop
Details:
Tashaâs Laughter is a simple guitar/bass/drum power trio with its own take on alternative music. Best described as âchunky peanut butter rockâ, their sound packs a hard crunch held together with creamy textures and hooks that will stick to the roof of your mouth. Influenced by classic rock, grunge, and most everything in between, their style reaches from the past while making a grab for the future.
Their live show is tight and audiences appreciate the vibe they evoke. Their debut album âA Vision of Stoneâ has just been finished. It is currently available at the link above, at their website www.tashahaha.com and at their shows. It is scheduled to be released into various Twin Cities music stores in January of 2007.
Hereâs what âtheyâ have been saying about the band, the album, and their first single âLotteryâ:
"With clear influences from Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure, Radiohead, 12 Rods, Guided By Voices, Faith No More, The Beatles and others, [their songs] are widely different and hopefully just a precursor for what's to come."
- Greg Swan, www.perfectporridge.com
âGuys, this is easily one of the best songs I have heard in a long time. Tasha's Laughter has one very rare thing - talent in songwriting. The guitar line is catchy, experimental, and slightly non rock-conformist. The song structure is one which is fast becoming a brand-new method of writing⦠the vocalist has a fantastic voiceâ¦4/5 guys. Good work.â
- Lisa Patterson, www.songcritic.com
âThis was very refreshing to hear. The guitar line is a great hook. The whole song structure really, just makes a great song, without being too conformed to the rock structure, that new ears would turn away from it. The vocals were goodâ¦Fantastic song, no doubt. Great job.â
