There are pieces of music that once heard, become unforgettable. Like the memory of friends and loved ones, these melodies lives within us, bringing passion and meaning into our daily lives. The inspiration for âClassical Moonlightâ came from the love of playing this kind of music, and from a special collaboration between friends. The DuoLuna Quartet brings together DuoLuna (Rebecca Arons, cellist and Jill Olson, violinist), Peter McGuire (first violinist with the Minnesota Orchestra) and Tom Turner (principal violist with the Minnesota Orchestra). Our continuing work with engineer, Matthew Zimmerman and the superb atmosphere at Wild Sound, has made the recording of this album a great pleasure; and the production and editing assistance of John Snow proved indispensable.

DuoLuna is cellist, Rebecca Arons and violinist, Jill Olson. Bringing together their rich professional experience and passion for performing, they have formed an exciting and creative ensemble. Classically trained in the nations leading conservatories, they have played in venues throughout the world and are currently based in Minneapolis. Jill and Rebecca have enjoyed performing with artists as diverse as Pavarotti, Prince, Josh Groban, Il Divo and Mariah Carey, as well as with the Minnesota Orchestra, the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Minnesota Opera, and Broadway shows, such as "The Lion King", "Phantom of the Opera", and many others. The members of DuoLuna also have extensive and varied studio recording experienceâfrom classical to pop, rock, folk and commercial. Rebecca is currently a producer and performing artist for Compass Records, with recent releases, âRelaxing Classicalâ and âBachâs Desiringâ appearing on the Lifescapes label.
