Like most rock bands and tech companies, Dialtone got their start in a garage. Paul somehow convinced his mom to let him turn her two-car garage into a jam room, complete with funkadelic blacklight posters, run-down couches and aspiring rockstars from around the neighborhood. Soon after younger brother Mike began practicing on the drum kit, Paul realized he had the makings of a band. They would go through various band names and members before Dialtone started to take shape.

Paul's driving guitar hooks blend seamlessly with Mike's earnest drum beats, while intense vocals and unified harmonies round out Dialtone's performance. Their two-piece guitar and drum approach comes from a variety of sources: 60's garage rock bands recorded on duct taped equipment, 80's pop bands standing out in a sea of synthesizers, 90's grunge rockers challenging punk rock. The music they make, a fusion of power pop, indie angst, and good old fashioned rock n' roll, creates a sound that is uniquely Dialtone's.

Dialtone currently plays gigs around the LA area. Past gigs include: The Hive, The Joint, Westwood Brewing Company, The Knitting Factory (Alterknit Lounge), The Whiskey, Paladino's, Universal Bar and Grill, Goldfingers, Zen Sushi, Que's Riverbottom.
