13 MP3 Songs
FOLK: Modern Folk, ROCK: 70's Rock

Details:
These songs were written in Missouri, Connecticut, Colorado, Florida, and Texas; thus the State Lines. I was influenced from music of the 1970âs and itâs reflected in the music & harmony of these 13 of my 26 original songs. I am a choir director and perform at open mikes at local bars and once a month for the Veterans at the VA hospital. I have a repertoire of 320 songs from the 60âs and 70âs. I hope you enjoy The State Lines as much as I had making it. By the way, except for the picture of me on the back cover, I took the photos and all parts of the music are by me.
A Story Behind Each Song

1. Song of Life- This short versionof the originalwas written on four pages. It is about the celebrationand miracle of life.

2. Dad's Song- Dedicated and inspired by my dad, Edward B. Hunter, in honor of Fathers Day. I sang this song for the 1st time in a folk group in from of the congregation at church, with my whole family present. I was glad my father was impressed; it seems to be everyone's favorite.

3. Seasons Change- The last chorus was written seperately from the rest of the song, years apart. Inspired by a co-worker that was unable to deal with the public in a retail settingat the portrait studio, where I was a professional photographer. Obviously it is a suggestion on how to deal with the frustrations at work.

4. Love You Most Of All- This song was written in 1974, in Denver, Co. waiting to finish school, then get married to Diane later that year. It was inspired by the beauty of state of residence and my state of mind.

5.Beautiful Days- I wrote this song in Connecticut, the summer after I graduated High School in Missouri, before I was ever married. Sometimes I sing this song at funerals, there are many ways to lose someone.

6. Angels and Butterflies- After the passing of my wife of two years, Anita, to breast cancer, I was going through her belongings, and found many forms of angels and butterflies in stickers, books, coloring books, posters, plastics statues, and drawings. I was so excited, I sang this song for Elizabeth in a parking lot outside of work.

7. The End Of Our Blues- I wrote this song with Elizabeth in mind. We got together after each of us had lost our spouses. This is a trilogy of songs for her. As the next two songs suggest, our love has grown over time.

8. Love From Up Above- My first of three Christian songs, I sing these to myself as I walk around a local lake here in San Antonio, Texas. The music, as is usually the case, came to me after the poetry. I sing these songs at church, where I'm a choir director and open mikes in town.

9. My Personal Fox- This song reflects the love that has grown between Elizabeth and I.

10. You in my Dreams- This 3rd of three songs, so far, was inspired by my warm feelings for Elizabeth, and is a natural sequence to the previous two songs. And, good news! Our relationship is closer and has grown in many positive ways , and she is now my fiancee!

11. Trinity- There didn't seem to be a good song in my repertoire expressing how The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are together, One God. I wrote this song for use at church on Trinity Sunday, used each year.

12. Land or on Sea- Both sides of my family, and some friends and I were associated with the Military. The title sounds like a patriotic song, yet it is more. This is a statement of how God is with us always.

13. This Lesson I Keep- My daughter, Linda, inspired this song. She always "lands on her feet" when faced with so much adversity and a busy schedule.
