Frenchy Burrito and The Folk Pistols spent the summer of 1994 opening for national acts every Wednesday night at Pittsburgh's premier club Rosebud (now defunct). This is a board recording of their last night there. It's PRIMITIVE! Originally released in cassette format it was widely circulated through out the tri state area. It garnered a mention in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette and was used as a demo for getting gigs which launched the Folk Pistols on a 4 and a half year spree of 200 consecutive gigs ranging from Fire House Weddings, Private Parties, River Barges, Ski Resorts, Road Houses, Festivals, Charity Events, Art Shows, Flea Markets, Book Stores, Coffeehouses and the ever present Bar Gig from Ohio to West Virginia to The Pocono's! Their sets consisted of originals and spicy covers of Bob Dylan, John Prine, Loudon Wainwright III, Townes Van Zandt and Hank Williams. A small army of interchangeable players provided the diesel fuel that kept this scrappy little lo-fi unit going to eventually record their first album Strange Paintâ¦

P.S. For all you Dylan fans out there it's no secret that not many people can cover a Bob Dylan song like Frenchy can and the MAGGIES FARM cover on this CD is a KILLER!!!!
